Friendship Speed Dating - Supporting Georgia's Voice!

Looking to make new friends in Cornwall? This event is for you!

Join us for ‘Friendship Speed Dating’ at Zafiros in Truro!

This is a unique event to meet people in your local area in which you will have 5 minutes to speak with each individual that you interact with to find common interests! After friendship speed dating there will be time to mingle as a group and share contact details with potential friends to keep in touch!

We’ve chosen to hold this event on International Women’s Day - a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. It felt so right to mark this day with a Girls in Cornwall event, especially this one which has been so heavily requested since we did it last year!!

This event will be supporting mental health charity Georgia’s Voice! It is a wonderful charity that supports young women aged 18-25, they do this through weekly support groups in a variety of locations in Cornwall and also provide individually tailored support through workshops, information days and signposting to other helpful organisations.

50% of the ticket price for the ‘Friendship Speed Dating’ event will be given to Georgia’s Voice! The charity also raises funds through their Preloved Boutique in Falmouth. So, we will also be collecting adults second-hand clothing in good condition, if you would like to bring along a bag or a few items to the ‘Friendship Speed Dating’ event!

(Friendship Speed Dating will start at 7pm – if you arrive late you may not be able to join in but are welcome to stay for group socialising when the activity finishes)
